Announcement of the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Macedonia
Conference Program Announcement
Taking into account the prevailing situation in the field of health and wanting to ensure the health of students, teachers and guests of the conference, the organizing committee, after the positive response of the Ministry of Education decided:
– The transformation of the conference into an online one so that all the works of the students can be presented remotely on the dates 12, 13, 14 and 15 May 2020.
– The Exhibition part of the conference, ie the theme parks: Roboland, Gameland and e-posters because they require a demonstration of live works, are moved to 29 and 30 September 2020 to be safe, to be able to attend students, teachers and visitors.
The 12th Student Informatics Conference will be held regularly, but online, with presentations of more than 100 research papers and the participation of hundreds of students and teachers from more than 70 school units.
In addition, we announce the conference program.
Robotics, automatic control systems, smart cities and devices, programming of educational applications for mobile phones, educational websites, internet security, research are the topics of the conference.
The organizing committee will immediately post on the conference website details on the organization of the teleconferences and presentations that will be scheduled in the near future. There will be ongoing support throughout this endeavor.
The responsible teachers of the assignments are requested to ask the parents of the students for the signed responsible statements (format: photo of a document from a mobile phone) for the participation of students in the online conference. The responsible statement form can be downloaded from the conference site.
The collected photos should then be compressed into a zip file and sent to mathsynplikm@gmail.com. The deadline is Monday, May 4th.
Note that a job presentation (powerpoint etc) is not required for this year’s event.
It will also be posted directly on the conference website http://www.math-syn-pli.gr and an invitation to the educational project coordinators to participate in teleconferences presidencies. There will be a relevant update.
The organizing committee would like to thank the teachers and students who participate and in adverse conditions show the strength and willingness to present their research projects from a distance, making the conference the first online Student Conference.
