Our near space environment – speech by Professor Emeritus, Stavros Avgoloupis, 14.10.2023

NOESIS, on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s World Space Week*, on Saturday 14/10/2023, at 18.00, organizes a talk with the Emeritus Professor of Astronomy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Stavros Avgoloupis on “Our near space environment”, in the hall of the Planetarium.

Mr. Avgoloupis will invite us to focus our attention on studying the components of our Solar System, as well as the phenomena that cause and regulate our lives.

Through his speech, we will also get to know the amazing beauty of this heavenly world.

For ages 5 to 105.

Free entrance with priority vouchers available that day from 16.00, from the box office.

At 19.00, at the Planetarium, the film ” Two small pieces of glass” (duration 25 ́) will be screened, with general admission 5€. Day tickets are valid.

World Space Week is celebrated every year, from 4 to 10 October, at the initiative of the UN, to highlight “the contribution of science and technology to the betterment of the human condition”.
