Python programming language learning for 12-16 year olds – NEW dates
NOESIS will collaborate with Datalabs for the implementation of programming workshops from November 2024 to May 2025. Program
descriptionPython is an easy, syntax-free, child-friendly language and ideal for generating interest in programming. It is an innovative educational program of 24 two-hour workshops for children aged 12-16, which aims through interaction and play, to make the basic principles of Python known to young ages based on STEM concepts. In this way, the chances of children developing a special interest in programming are enhanced. As Python has simple syntax, it allows children to assimilate basic algorithmic concepts and start writing programs on their own. In the process they will develop algorithmic thinking and problem-solving ability, they will be able to write programs with the Python language to solve many different issues. By uniting the basic principles of STEM with Python, children will be able through the program to program and understand (indicatively):
- Simple physics concepts in everyday life.
- Trajectories of moving bodies.
- Relative speeds.
- Gravitational forces and propulsion systems.
and much more! During the academic year, several games will be created for children to have as samples and guides, culminating in the 2 projects (STEM 1 & STEM 2), as well as the acquisition of certification by the spin-off of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The workshops will take place on Saturday, 11:30-13:30, on the following dates:
November 2024: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30/11

January 2025: 4, 11, 18, 25/1
February 2025: 1, 8, 15, 22/2
March 2025: 8, 15, 22, 29/3

The participation fee for all 24 workshops is 480,00€. Registration costs 60€, which is deducted from the total cost. The repayment of the remaining amount will be made in 7 equal installments. The following table lists the cases of payments:
Economic planning
The total cost is 480€ and is paid as follows: Registration fee: 60€. Monthly installment payment: 60€ for 7 months. In case of a one-time payment, there is a discount of 60€. In case of registration of 2 children/family, the 2ndhas a cost of 50€/month. In case of registration of 3 children/family, ALL have a cost of 50€/month. So: 2 children, doses
