Greece at the top of the rankings in the World Robotics Championship First Lego League 2021

The robotics competition team of the Futurelab Robotics Academy from Thessaloniki managed to bring a global distinction to Greece.

The team of Petros Perlantidis Papadopoulos, consisting of 7 students, aged 14 to 16, managed to win second place in the world ranking of the Robot Game (Robot Performance Award) at FLL Open Greece 2021.

In the position of assistant coach, the youngest coach of the event, Izoldi Theodoridou, a student of the B Lyceum, a former member of the team who from this year due to age can not play.

The robot designed and built by Athanasios Kolettas, Alkiviadis Pantazis, Giorgos Vlachonasios, Giorgos Ritzoulis, Dimitris Kartsonakis, Efstratios Baker and Konstantinos Papadopoulos managed to execute excellent missions5 The leader of the world ranking was the Czech Republic with a score of 595/600, while in third place, after Greece, followed by Germany with 560 points.

The World Championship of Robotics, Research and Innovation First Lego League 2021 was broadcast live from 24-27 June 2021 from the facilities of NOESIS.

FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE Virtual Open International Greece 2021 was organized by Eduact in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Religions, First and Lego Education and under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Government, the National Committee “Greece 2021” and the National Olympic Committee and Academy with the support of the Region of Central Macedonia and the Sub-Region of Digital Governance.

More than 2,000 students from all over the world, aged 9-16, competed in Robotics, Research and Innovation.
