Project Activator – publication in KN Journal of Cartography and Geographic Information

In the framework of the Activator Project, where NOESIS participated, an Experiential and Interactive Learning platform was created, consisting of an original mechanical construction in which multiple interactive educational scenarios can be executed, with main topics of technology, science and culture, and which fully supports interactive applications using virtual reality technology.

The philosophy of Activator is to unite educational, cultural and research institutions, as well as businesses active in the fields of culture, tourism, education and informatics, with the ultimate goal of promoting and promoting science, technology and culture both in the past, present and future, through targeted research and development actions of Experiential Virtual Reality 4D technologies.

In the context of the promotion and dissemination of the project’s deliverables, an online publication of the article “Activator: An Immersive Virtual Reality Serious Game Platform for Highlighting Ancient Greek Civilization” was held in KN – Journal of Cartography and Geographic Information, which you can see by clicking on the link https://rdcu.be/dsCbr.

The Activator Project was implemented with the participation of NOESIS, within the framework of the Action “Interactive and Experiential Learning Platform for the promotion of ancient Greek culture and sciences through Prototype Construction, Mechanical Feedback and Virtual Reality applications” (Project Code: T1EDK-03735), which is part of the national action “Research-Create-Innovate” and is funded by the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (NSRF) 2014-2020) (co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and Greece).
