World Space Week with free activities at NOESIS from 4/10 until 10/10/2023

NOESIS on the occasion of World Space Week 4-10/10/2023, from Wednesday 4/10 until Tuesday 10/10/2023, offers free of charge after reservation the following activities for school groups. First come first served.

– Demonstration of physics experiments by students of the Department of Primary Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Laboratory Centers of Natural Sciences of Thessaloniki.
For fourth to sixth grade.
Date: Thursday 5/10/2023.
Duration of activity: 60 ́.

– The game of knowledge, in the Kahoot application with questions related to space. Students will participate with their mobile phones.
For Gymnasium-Lyceum.
Date: from Wednesday 4/10 to Tuesday 10/10/2023.
Duration of activity: 30 ́.

– Get into the frame, shoot using staged space-themed photos.
For all classes.
Date: from Wednesday 4/10 to Tuesday 10/10/2023.

– Space and entrepreneurship
Installation with 12 A3 posters in this year’s World Space Week theme “Space and Entrepreneurship”.
Location: Outside the Planetarium

– Visit to the Space Infopoint, an information station for space exploration.
For all classes.
Date: from Wednesday 4/10 to Tuesday 10/10/2023.

To participate in the above free actions of NOESIS it is necessary to make a reservation, at 2310 483 000, ext. 2, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 13:00.

In the same context, on Saturday 14 October, at 18.00, a speech will be held at the Planetarium by Professor of Astronomy, Stavros Avgoloupis for young children and their families.

Priority will be given with free entry vouchers available from 16.00 from the Fund.

At 19.00 there will be a film screening at the Planetarium, with general admission 5€. For more information click here.

World Space Week is celebrated every year, from 4 to 10 October, at the initiative of the UN, to highlight “the contribution of science and technology to the improvement of the human condition”.
